![]() * * * Ears of corn - a song of praise * * * Golden kernels shine and smile in even rows they beguile an art collector’s shrewd eyes, marveling in awe he sighs. In all its valued humbleness an ear of corn is priceless because of its perfection due to divine selection. By such beauty deeply stirred I see a wonderful world revealing itself to me as a precious gift for free. Such vast abundance divine is doubtlessly a true sign of Universe’s grand plan to shower blessings on men. Let’s all grow in awareness It’s a question of fairness. God’s gifts are for all you see May we share more you and me. Come, it is never too late It’s time now to celebrate. Cornfields reflect in our eyes while songs of praise reach the skies. |

I love it! Have you ever heard of DeKalb corn? I live in corn country, now, just north of DeKalb where Rebecca lived. They test all sorts of corn here. Monsanto also has a place here. They make fabrics from corn. There's a big corn festival every year in DeKalb, too. God bless, Rae |

Thank you dear Rae for your kind comment. I think it must be fantastic during the festival. I don't know the different names, but I am soooo fascinated by their beauty! God bless you too, dear Rae! Love and hugs. Margherita ![]() |

Loved your "Corney" poem. I used to live in Indiana with corn fields all around me. Never thought to write about corn! What a unique poem! |
