Be Blessed Today I’m blessed because I know today That miracles are on their way From God each time I kneel and pray No matter when or time of day. I’m blessed because I know somehow The thorns of shame that pierced His brow Will never pierce me but allow His Love to calm and soothe me now. I’m blessed because I know what may So come to me will never stray My Love for Him for His I’ll stay And ever be … … Be blessed today. The above poem was written in response to my own challenge. If anyone else would like to write a poem and meet my challenge, please write a poem that begins with the first line “I’m blessed because I know today” and then introduce a first line to a poem that you would like to challenge someone else to write.
