Most Longed to See When Jesus comes, I long to see Beyond the walls—Eternity The golden streets, the gates of pearl The purple shroud of God unfurled Within the clouds, the trumpets blast The Joys of Saints that lasts and lasts The booming sounds of “Hallelu—” As crowned, the Lamb, comes marching through The purest city ever known Where Love is seen as banner flown From every heart that’s touched within And cleansed deep down from pain and sin And where my loved ones gone before I’ll greet once more at Heaven’s door And where the crowns placed on our heads We’ll cast before His feet instead Because that’s where they’re meant to be When Jesus is most longed to see. This poem was in response to my own challenge but, if you are interested in taking on a challenge, this challenge still stands that you write a poem that begins with the first line, “When Jesus comes, I long to see” and also leave a first line to challenge someone else. God bless, Lighthouse Bob |
