Only If... By Larry Chadwick Jesus is the answer, quite often comes to mind, Only if you’re desperate, is what we usually find. Jesus in the answer, quite often comes to mind, Only if you are hurting, and everyone is blind. Jesus is the answer, quite often comes to mind, Only if you are lonely, and no one can you find. Jesus is the answer, quite often comes to mind, Only if you are broke, and no one is being kind. Jesus is the answer, quite often comes to mind, Only if you are searching, and he’s the one you find. Jesus is the answer, quite often comes to mind, Especially if you know him, and he’s your friend. Jesus is the answer, is what we all should know, Only if you live it, does it really start to show. July 26, 2007 If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

amen! This was a great write. Too many times, we look for him as a last resort and he should be our first thought. Thanksfully, He is glad when we finally do realize that He is the ONE! Dee as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. |

Larry, The challenge here was very well met and was far exceeding in my opinion. Larry, this was a Great job of writing. What I liked best about your poem was not that it was an answer to my challenge, but that it challenged me. If I read your poem correctly, saying, "Jesus is the answer," regrettably, can be at times a kind of cop out or a replacement for actually doing something that is beneficial to the Lord and for His Kingdom. Anyway, I appreciated the challenge that your poem presented me and I do, absolutely, want to be the one in your last stanza. Again, God bless you, Larry, and thank you for taking on the challenge and for doing such a great job with it. -Bob Off the record; after losing my first Grandbaby to SIDS, I wanted you to know that I really appreciated the support and prayers that you sent my way and I also wanted you to know that God has blessed my family and I with a brand new baby girl. Dee, So true indeed. And thank you for reading. hunnie, Thanks for that. You are truly kind. I did post a piece in Prose that has a spiritual twist to it. Bob, Thank you for such a heart felt response. It is so easy to be superficial about everything including our spiritual life. And off the record... How truly wonderful that God has blessed your family after such a tragedy. I have friend who went through the same and have at least some sense of the shock and grief. Thank you for remembering me with this fabulous update as it pleases me so. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |
