Love Letters in the Sand He could have called ten thousand angels To rescue him from that awful day. He could have vanished from their eyes Had he decided not to stay. He could have changed his mind and gone back home To Heaven’s shore, so bright and grand. But his blood spilled out for you and me Blood drops were his love letters in the sand. as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. |

Deanna, What a Wonderful Wonderful correlation you've written and made here between Jesus’ blood shed on the cross for us and His love letters written to us in the sand. I love that image you’ve shared, God bless you my friend, and I am looking forward to reading more of your poetry. -Bob |

The time you mention in this poem is one I have wondered some about. I wonder if He really *could* have walked away from it all--(I know, He did say something along those lines, how He could have called legions of angels to deliver Him then) but seeing the reality of His Person= Love, it makes me wonder if He _reallllly_ *could* have. -Just to say, I think being Who He was, in reality, He *could* not walk away just to have His own self delivered from such trouble. He came here to 'save' and mission=accomplished. It's an amazing thing, it is~ |

I agree...He wouldn't have, knowing He came to glorify His Father. Thanks so much for reading and leaving a comment. I appreciate them all. Dee as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. |
