In response to Bob's challenge, I gave it a try and came up with this. It may need some modification. "Miracle of life" Of all the miracles I've known, the greater is this Is when the morning stars awakened to the first sunrise With wings of grace, free as the wind, filled with heaven's bliss As they sang in chorus of a joy, that resonated up into the eternal skies And God looked doown from heaven, and beheld that all was beautiful He reached out with His Hand, touched our lips and with a gentle kiss Said, this is my gift to mankind, My garden, water it and let it grow For the greatest of miracles is to give life, nothing is greater than this And there was lovely flowers, and foliage and crystal pure streams And to the man was given a woman, a companion, a beauty to be the love of his life And all was one in harmony, innocence and peace, living a lucid dream And their minds and hearts saw and felt the glory, and knew not strife But for some reason they were not happy and so they fell unto dust For this reason came the Redeemer, to restore His garden of beauty And now from on high draws unto Himself, those that will to be be just And they that love life will follow Him into eternity Of all the miracles that I've known, the greater is, love that gives life But I don't understand, fallen into shadows, why a man wills to refuse to see That giving and loving, being not having, reaching out, brings peace annulling strife Herein lies the message, the Gospel of truth and this truth shall set you free If anyone would like to carry on with the challenge. The topic I choose would address the suffering that our ways have brought upon ourselves. The opening line would be: How much longer can this carry on. Thankyou Josh |

You've met the challenge well. Your imagery is appreciated, too. Perhaps in the title, after "Miracle of Life" the word 'challenge' could be added as I didn't realize this was a response to it, until I was reading your post. Rae |

Josh, Challenge well met!!! Again, very descriptive and thoughtful poetry writing expressed here. I really enjoyed the references that you made from the Bible (in particular the book of Genesis) about Creation and I thought the idea that the Greatest miracle is Life and that Life was and continues to be created from Love is a most needful message that can and should be told over and over again. Again, Challenge Well Met, Happy Father's Day, and God Bless You. -Bob |
