Because the Lord is my pace setter, why should I rush? He makes me stop for quiet intervals, And gives me images of stillness, and peace. He leads me in ways of efficiency Through calmness of mind. And His guidance is peace. When I think of the many things I have to do each day, I have no fears, because the comforter, the Holly Spirit is with me. He prepares refreshment and renewal In the midst of my activity, By anointing my mind with His oils of tranquillity. My cup of joyous energy overflows. Truly, harmony and effectiveness Shall be the fruits of my hours, For I shall walk in the pace of my Lord, And dwell in His house, for ever. This poem was an inspiration to many, and I used it in a sermon, in South Africa.The feed back was tremendous, and I would like to share it with fellow members, and eagerly await their responses. |
