Worry came to visit.
I dropped to my knees
and prayed.

Lord, please forgive me
if I've gone astray.
Some days I feel lost,
not knowing what to do.
It is in those times
when I sit talking

quietly to you.

What a peace
then overcomes me
when I lay my burdens bare.
There is no greater gift
than God's precious love~

It is everywhere.

Gentle Spirited One, how deeply this touches. An eloquent and divine expression of your abiding faith in God and the power of prayer.

Love & God's Light,

I can relate to this so well.  My Bible and prayer are always at the head of my bed and I cling to them. The absolute peace that overcomes me when I ask God to lay his hand on me is undescribable, but I am sure you too know this feeling.  Beautifully put, thanks.

Worry used to be a big part of my life, it changes nothing, a waste of time and most likely the things one worries about never come to pass. It is the things you never even thought about that happen, so as in the Lord's prayer, we should say "Thy will be done"  I enjoyed your poem very much.

When I grow anxious and the silence is driving me insane.  I sit down and pray as well.  The calmness that washes over me is amazing.  The love I receive from God and Jesus is amazing.  I wish I didn't struggle so much with surrendering.  I love your poem.  Thank you for sharing.
