Once his love was all for Thee His life thickly covered with joy. But now what’s left is anger and hate In this that loving boy. How can there be a change so strong That fills him through and through. Taking him from the Lord he loved It took him Lord from You. Our prayers lift up to heavens throne To You dear God, his Father and Lord; To not forget this fallen child As he hurts the One he once adored. His grandmother may never see Thy work Upon this heart so soiled and dark, But give her faith to firmly know Somewhere in him is still a spark. God knows where in that spark does lay Hidden deep within his hurting heart. And when the time is right to move God’s Spirit will tare the crust apart. By, Marie D. Glass Author's Comments: "This child is breaking his grandmothers heart, to say nothing of God's. He has gotten into the wrong crowd and is so hateful and selfish now. But God can save and there is always hope. This poem ~~ my gift of hope to her." (To be in Poetry.com(’s) yearly book for 2005) |

This is beautiful. How very kind of you. writing such a wonderful plea on behalf of another. You have to be a very understanding person to know the pain of the grandmother's broken heart due to her love of this wayward lad. God bless, Rae |
