THE HOURGLASS As I grow older The hourglass of my life fills At an unswervingly brisk pace. However, When I peer Through the grains Of settled sand, Viewing from whence I have come, And wondering, How I survived Whilst being clothed, In human frailties And weaknesses I have very little fear Of the glass, And it becoming full. I have been So well looked after And protected, By forces, Unseen and unknown In all my yesterdays And today's, That my tomorrow's Can only be the same, Forthcoming And this, In spite Of all my foibles. Happiness comes from kindness. |

A very comforting poem that instills an inner confidence that GOD will continue to protect and provide for my future as He has always done in my past. A very nice perspective you give here on the hourglass. -Bob |

(sigh) I have always found the whole "glass is half empty or half full" talk nonsense when I believe the hourglass is constantly growing in volume and is always rich and abundant from the start! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Das, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! *Sigh* the sands of my hourglass may be more than half full now, but you're right, not to fear, but it's ok, we're in His good hands. |

I applaud your faith in the future as previewed by the past. Love, Joyce |
