A Writers Prayer "Just one day is forty nine dollars and ninety five cents" he vaguely heard the clerk say, "Room one thirty nine, down the hall to the right, and please, enjoy your stay " As he paid the motel clerk for the room the thought occurred to him checking in, to check out the candle of this life, he was about to dim He had grown tired those that knew him could see it in his eyes one look and you still wouldn't know as he was careful to outwardly keep, the real him hidden in disguise As he entered the room, he noticed the usual bed, chair, and desk outside the blizzard raged he sat in the chair, and stared out the window grabbing the pen and starting the first page After some thought, he quit writing looking out the window, he arose from the desk he surmised to himself the snowfall was befitting he silently prayed his last request "Dear God, I know that you are there, I believe in my heart that you know me better than even I do, please forgive me, for I've grown tired and weak, moreover, protect my loved ones Lord, for it is for them Lord, from you their relief, and comfort I seek, I come to you now Lord, now, in my darkest hour to date I know in my heart that you know me, an answer, from you Lord, I can no longer wait, please forgive me of my sins, for this last one in advance, that it's unforgivable, I'm sorry, but I must take that chance, for it is written, In Jesus name I pray, Amen", was to be the last word he'd ever say At that very instant, the telephone in the room started to ring, and as he answered, he heard a voice of an angel, saying just one single word"hello" his answer, God was about to bring This author will not write here, all that was said that night however, he will in his own way, try to convey to the reader with all his might the following writers prayer to the readers at this site. A Writers Prayer Dear Lord, God in heaven, thank you for my blessings and giving me another day I ask that you guide my pen and bless my paper that my writings, through your will may, spread your word Lord, show them too the way To the one's in need maybe in their darkest hour, give them hope as you've given me away from you, please don't let them cower Blessed are we, the sinners Lord may my written mere words, mere words from one of your sheep lead one astray back to you, across the bridge of lost rivers sin regardless, of how wide or how deep, or how much trouble they are in Lord, I am just one man, mortal, made of flesh and bone however, I'll do the best I can to stand tall alone in addition, testify through my guided pen all the love you've shown Thank you God for your grace and for rescuing me willing me to answer that phone showing me that you weren't done with me yet that I am not alone Please hear my prayer, give me strength on this day may your will be done help this one in Jesus name, I pray...Amen The author, stated his belief shortly after that day He now has turned his trust towards the Lord, for it is written, and the author believes it to be true, that God is the power, the truth, the light, and the way each of us, saved by his grace, the ransom paid in full, for me and for you © Dennis Hicks - 2001 |

(big hugggsssssssss) Oh Dennis, I agree with all my heart that we should all celebrate God in much of what we write, it saddens me to see so many take Him for granted in what we create when He is our supreme inspiration! (sigh) Always know He is the grace behind the pen you bear, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dennis, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |
