Sanctification

You do still smell the fragrance though
a rose has left its vine
and even though the weeds may grow
there’s still a hope sublime
that’s covered in the heart of earth
that lingers within man
that rests so deep that when one sleeps
it’s known that life began
not in the outer shell of things
where momentary fades
but in the inner swell of things
beyond the fraught and grave
beyond the world of happenstance
beyond the world of care
into a world of soul romance
where God and Love are there
cultivating, incubating,
searching through and through
to sprout a seed out from the weeds
with fragrant life anew.

Anything, and everything, can be sanctified if they so desire. Loved your words.
