I HAVE CHOICES ON HOW TO LIVE MY LIFE I can be constantly Looking over my shoulder, Traveling the path of my past, That is cobbled, with much joy, Many mistakes, Reasonably few regrets. Living rather precariously unsatisfied In a world of ‘what if’? and ‘if only’. There again I can exist in a future, That is unknown, Hoping for a happiness, That is overshadowed by a fear Of history yet to be written. Or I can live in THE NOW, I can appreciate the beauty And the blessings of each day As I am, accordingly gifted them. With thankfulness I choose the latter, Grateful to have a choice. I am an enigma, even unto myself. |

Seize the day!!! I admit that I find myself falling at times into the shadows of yesterdays or being over anxious for what may come, but as you have written here, I believe very nicely, is that the correct attitude should be for us all to live each day at a time. A good job expressing your thoughts here and a very good reminder, I believe, to seize each day. -Bob |
