From the charming lands of plenty
I’ve heard your heart like an army.
Love is beautiful, let’s be fair.
I’ll now let you strip my soul bare.

You whisper and I learn your voice;
The greatest gift of all is choice.
Life is shivering, unaware.
I’ll now let you strip my soul bare.

From the divine core of Shadow,
Harmony calls the afterglow—
I follow your footsteps, elsewhere.
I’ll now let you strip my soul bare.

Such vulnerablility this love shows in the willingness to allow stripping the soul bare.  I love it.

Greatg poem.  I loved the repetition of the last line of each stanza.  It is the line that every Christian should offer to the Lord every morning when they wake up and every night before they go to sleep.

I’ll now let you strip my soul bare.

It's not easy to let God strip us bare because there may be some things we don't want Him to see, but if we are willing, He can do more in our lives than if we hold back.  Excellent poem and alarmingly true.

Thanks for the comments!
But I am not writing in a Christian perspective. You don't need to be a Christian to praise the Lord for what He/She can give us. My religion is one of happiness through belief in myself.

I've come to this poem one more time.  There is something about it that draws me.  I think the phrase "I'll let you strip my soul bare" is a hard thing for me to do because of the type of past I have.  Perhaps God is leading me to trust Him in that through your poem.  Thank you.
