The stormy waters rise and crash Against the broken shore The turmoil of the raging storm Has stricken there before. The lightning snaps, the thunder rolls The land in fear now shakes The blackened sky now fierce at sight Causes hearts to quake. The glimpse of hope is all but dead The rain begins to pour The clouds blow in to hide the light As Heaven shuts the door. The strong winds blow, the floods now come The storm has reached its peak But midst the darkness there’s a light A calm for all who seek. Be steadfast, strong and don’t give in Keep stepping toward the Light For when you make it through the storm It’s then you’ve won the fight. When the storm overtakes your life And hope is all but gone Seek the light within the dark And cry out to God’s Son. We cannot have the joyful calm Unless the storms we face It’s only then we’ll understand And yearn the quiet place. Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |

As the storms rage on sometimes we forget that this too shall pass. What a great reminder. |

Unless we know darkness, we cannot appreciate light, knowing sickness, we appreciate health, etc. You're absolutely right, that we can't deeply appreciate the loving comfort of our Lord until we acknowledge we can't manage on our own. Nice piece. Rae |
