God's Investment

If God gives me this whole new year
I pray it will not disappear
Before I find the purpose for
His giving me this one year more.

Some dear ones did not have the time
To do their deeds or write a line
That would be left for progeny
To know a truth and guided be.

I've had these many years to grow
In faith, and be allowed to know
The love that God has freely given
And narrow path that leads to Heaven.

If but one lost soul finds his way
Because I was allowed to stay,
I will at last begin to see
Why God invested time in me.

The lovely lines you write are good reason for God to keep you here.  This is a wonderful new year sentiment.  Thanks for sharing it.

BEAUTIFUL!!! And so VERY true!!! If but one person finds the Lord because of each Christian, think of how many more will be in Heaven on that glorious day!!! I loved this poem and kept saying, "yes, yes" in my head. It made me very excited to be a Christian.
