My life feels like I’m walking in a maze It starts nowhere and never seems to end, emerges from the shadows through some trail. Like a little lamb, I bleat and wail. Then I awake as from a broken dream, to hear a Voice who whispers soft and low: “My child, why let your journey aimless be, no need to fear, just walk along with Me. It’s I, the Lord, rise up and follow Me.” He beckons me to hurry and I say, “Wait up, Lord, don’t leave me far behind, I pray just pick me up Your arms so kind.” My steps are small, I tarry and I slip. I’m frail and lost without Him by my side. I hold His hand as I pause by a tree, for now I know my soul is truly free. [This message has been edited by jjote (01-24-2005 10:15 PM).] |

Your poem is a wonderful reminder for me, even though we may think that we must keep pace with the hurried ways of this world, that the Lord knows our capabilities completely, no matter how small our steps or how fragile our hearts may become, still, yes, He is always so very very willing and able to carry us through. Enjoyed reading. -Bob |
