Christmas Eve This is the night Of undying love, Shining on us From a star up above. It's leading us, guiding us, Showing the way To the joy and the wonder Of that first Christmas Day. Look up to the skies This one night of the year And to believers The angels appear. The carols they sang On this night long ago, Still echo faintly To those in the know. At midnight the church bells Ring out o'er the earth With wonder and joy In the dear Saviors birth. The lonely shepherd With a finely tuned ear, Will still hear the message And cower with fear. The beasts of the fields Are blessed in the glow. They gave up their shelter For Him long ago. Oh listen and see; If you truly believe, You'll find the pure joy Of that first Christmas Eve. Thank you, I really loved this. I know it hasn't seemed much like much like Christmas for me this year, but its still amazing to see the difference in how I view Christmas from how those around me who don't believe, view it. This was written wonderfully and is inspiring Happy Celebration on Jesus' birth to you and yours! Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |

A delightful piece and a great reminder of Christ being born among us, for the purpose of our Salvation; wonderfully written. --Joe PS Perhaps you would enjoy my poem "Poem: The Cross, Stark and Still" which has paralleling themes. Logic, when applied to people, fails miserably! --Joseph J. Breunig 3rd |

Another fine poem from 'Joyce' and it comes with a message to believers. "Oh listen and see - if you truly believe." I believe. |
