EVEN THOUGH IT HURTS

WHEN I WOKE UP EARLY THIS MORN
I HURT SO MUCH IN MY BODY
IT WAS SO HARD FOR ME TO RISE
JUST TO GET OUT OF BED YOU SEE

TO JUST SIT AND NOT EVEN MOVE
WOULD JUST MAKE IT HARDER FOR ME
SO I GET UP AND MOVE AROUND
TO MAKE MY MOVING MORE EASY

THE PAIN IS NOT AS SEVERE NOW
I TRY TO KEEP MYSELF FROM GETTING STIFF
BY MOVING AROUND EACH DAY
IF ONLY I COULD GET A LIFT

EACH TIME I COUGH MY RIBS HURT ME
COUGHING I WISH I WOULD NOT DO
TAKE THE PAIN PILLS THE DOCTOR SAID
TO COUGH SHE SAID SHE WANTS ME TO

BREATHING EXERCISES SHE GAVE
TO KEEP MY LUNGS CLEAR YOU SEE
TAKE THE PAIN PILLS TO EASE THE PAIN
TO COUGH WOULD BE GOOD FOR ME

TO ME IT DOES NOT FEEL THAT GOOD
IT HURTS EACH TIME I DO
I TRY TO DO JUST WHAT SHE SAID
EVEN THOUGH IT HURTS EACH TIME TO

'morning, Sue. I know how that coughing hurts. With my lung problems I cough a whole lot. It makes my stomach sore, and my ribs aren't even in the shape yours are in right now. But, the doctor says it's good for me to cough, too, to keep pneumonia away.

When I am in pain, I just think that in a few minutes of hours or days that I won't be able to feel it and won't even care. It allways keeps me going

(sigh) Oh Sue, yes, I know how much it may hurt but do whatever is necessary to only help you for the better, for despite the aches in the process in breathing and stretching it will benefit in the long run! (sigh) I send angel prayers your way, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!
