My Heart Grows Fonder

I held onto believing
All that you had said
Promises I thought true
Began filling my head

I held no crystal ball
Futures I cannot see
All that I am hoping is
You will remember me

I held onto memories
From that first hello
Often thinking of you
Yet will you ever know

I held a glowing love
Awaiting at anytime
Always hoping  reply
Each heart letter I sign

I held you in  thought
Mind left to ponder
Through your silence
My heart grows fonder

(sigh) Oh Hope, this is sooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I know this feeling too and believe if love is true the distance can only make love stronger and the silence in dreaming!
