Skipping stones to overturn
if only I could keep my eyes closed
and make the moment last longer.
I linger there, trying to capture you in the limelight
enhancing my imagination
holding onto the time that comes quietly
as the sand pours through your hands
complimenting my dreams.
Counting my blessings one by one
deep in the heart where treasures are buried
rare gems seen through keen eyes
sparkle in the darkness,
in all their essence, strung along
slipping through the loose ends of my mind...
