My Prayer I open blinds and look upon a scene that is pure poetry. Cobalt blue waters ebb and flow. I feel their tidal urge in me. The Spanish moss drapes ancient oaks, and pelicans, on pilings, sleep. Great Egrets soar above salt grass, as seagulls dive into the deep. And as I gaze upon this scene, I keel in prayer for my friend. “Dear Lord, please lend her of Your strength. We love her, Lord, please help her mend.” My faith is strong, my patience, too. In circle, prayers, sent Your way. “Please heal dear Lyra, precious God. It is in Jesus’ name I pray.” |
