You want the sharp edge of things. Turn of corner well defined, everything within the lines. Where I, need the soft edge of real. Reality concealed, I fan the fantasy for what's in to be revealed, and I want the two to meet somewhere perhaps in the middle of everything on neutral ground of what we see. Just to love, in a bit of time to be together, outside the lines. WhiteRose 10/22/02 |

I very much enjoyed this--and not sure if it was your intent, but it brought to mind a bit of local New Orleans flavor as well: "Neutral Ground In most cities this is called the "median-" You know, that little strip of ground in the middle of a road. Legend has it that the neutral ground got its name from early New Orleans when the French and Spanish could do business between sections of the city standing on the "neutral ground." " http://www.crescentcity.com/dictionary.htm A nice write on the spirit of compromise... |

![]() (smiles) I agree with Karen, and wow, I never knew that was the origin of the word, that is fascinating, you taught us all today I think! (sigh) Either way this is a wonderful lovely metaphoric poem filled with gentle thoughts, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Anne, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |
