Stuck in the city of lights never to escape Hope is gone As this world goes in fast forward I dream of the world I left behind And the music plays Why am I so cold, So scared I have heard this song before I start to run Faster and faster Untill I slam into something hard And find what I am looking for And the music plays Why am I so cold, So scared I have heard this song before Something shines and shimmers A sivery metal And I see myself What I was looking for all along And I am no longer afraid And the music plays Why am I so warm, So content I have heard this song before And I am lifted away- from a city of lights never to return to the colors moving so fast- Like a movie [This message has been edited by Wind (10-19-2002 07:36 PM).] |

Wind, I like the way this ended. I'm glad that the subject found what sounds like peace. Thanks for sharing these poems. Love To All, Ethel |

A beautiful conclusion to a stunning trilogy. The consistency of the three pieces is very apparent and extremely well thought-through. I love your choice of last line, "like a movie." It really brings back the first part... I see the whole cyclic thing working in the entire trilogy, by the way... as though I could read the first again, after finishing this one. I love the continuity of these three... you've impressed me quite a bit, Wind. Thank you for sharing this series with us. Parasite Learn to place poetry before people |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Liz, yes, know you are never alone and within these concreate walls and barb-wired fences there is but a light of hope always gleaming from Him and there is much joy to go around still as well! (sigh) This is very poignant, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Liz, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
