OF A LESSER GOD I placed you there walking on water while I watched from distant shore until, I could not stand lonely and my fingers dipped into the cool, stirring calm awake how could I know the thin and level of your plane would shatter in the rippling, how could I know the sea would not part and you would drown, simply a man after all so, I wait now for the tide and forgiveness of my fault, I wait now, to be swept away in the rise and fall of a lesser god, one I could have touched all along [This message has been edited by Sandpiper (10-19-2002 06:11 PM).] |

No one walks on water. All reflections shatter. All can be forgiven. Enjoyed |
