a great poet i once met said he liked writing about "the next thing he touched." here is one I have written on such inspiration. Camera Captures a moment, at least metaphorically somehow. One moment in the string of many that make up our lives. Would a Trafalmadorian be amused at this attempt to preserve the good and leave the bad? If we had the choice would we Choose to be able to look back as if at infinite pictures; Exact in details, no lost records. Could we stand to see the mistakes, the regrets, the things we never though we would miss; that we thought we could do without. A box of metal with a glorified piece of glass at one end and some paper with gooey gunk on the other. Manipulate to what we wish. But the camera, sounds like Camus, only captures a small part of the moment. 2 dimensions down from 3. 4 dimensions if you wish; time. |

Can you give me four dimensions? I like the way you captured the image of the memory and linked it with the camera in your piece. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

And what to hold in the black and white of it? Memories... solid gold in their sepia tone. |

yikes! i didn't think i'd see this one up near top again! kethry, thanks. its really what strikes me about a camera - its like a time or memory machine. sunshine, can I add that to my work? no, seriously. thats right i suppose, if only memory were more like a waking dream - it would be so much more satisfying. enchantress, i am glad you enjoyed it! -majnu |

(smiles) Yes, and the quality of the picture doesn't matter on the camera itself, but on who is holding it and gazing into the lens, for you decide how many dimensions you want! (sigh) This is amazing, sweet friend, you have incredible talent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Zahaar, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

i love how you described the way the camera catches fleeting moments of time that will never ever happen again..just as memories become freeze-frames etched in our minds forever..great write! inside every soul there is music...let the music play |

I guess bad memories have photos stored in our mind that we sometimes have a difficult time escaping. I think we have a need to hold on the best memories and the camera captures some of those precious times. Enjoyed your take on the subject.
