A poet in love, Inspired by the moon, Writes his heart's dreams In bold strokes Of comet tails Across a brown-eyed sky Whose stars twinkle in delight At his art. A poet in love, Warmed by those rays, Weaves his soul's desires In finest thread Of crystal light Around an auburn tapestry Whose pattern breathes again At his touch. A poet in love, In love with his moon, Shows that love every day In these words Of his heart. Making her face smile, Bringing peace to her life With his love. What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. [This message has been edited by Moonlight Romeo (10-18-2002 04:08 PM).] |

i found this to be a bit trite. the usage of the moon is so overdone that its hurts a cool idea. you can obviously work magic witht the words, maybe metaphor selection needs a bit of help |

Romeo, if you are a poet in love it shows - I would come to you by moonlight to hear these words. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

How did this one escape me, Love? I've read it, but I didn't reply until now. Apologies. "My ears have not yet drunk a hundred words |

This may sound stupid to you guys, but the name of this poem is really good.. Itts a name that makes you want to come and read the poem.. So, i guess i have to thank you for giving your poem a good name, because if youdidnt i wouldnt have read your beutifull words... I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait. |
