Picture by Josephine Wall * * * Will this nightmare soon be over What if I curl up in a ball And pretend this wasn't real That it didn't happen at all My memory helps to remind me About a time when I felt free In the days of youth and innocence When no harm could come to me I can't afford to show my feelings To my one and only child I do not want to frighten her To have her mind running wild The world seems so uncertain It has become a frightening place I have witnessed so much horror Many tears have stained my face I take comfort in the knowledge That my father did not see These sad and painful images That have deeply affected me The place where he now resides Is one of peace and tranquility Where love lives on forever And where one's spirit is set free It is time to stop this madness Give back the freedom we all yearn Let us not repeat history From these tragedies we must learn * * * * Such a heavy heart I've had this past week as I mourn all the lives lost in the Bali tragedy.Has the world gone mad and lost sight of peace and freedom? I am in motion |

Sue, this is such a beautiful poem of a terrible tragedy. You wrote your feelings so well. Thanks so much for sharing. I'm praying for all of you and the ones who lost their loved ones. Love To All, Ethel |

Sue, Your social conscience strikes again. True and faithful. It is incomprehensible. Excellent write. Peace and courage to you and your family. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Beautifully penned. Peace, the dream we must all continue to dream. The more horror we see, the more we must keep this dream alive, and the more we must act with Love for all humanity and Earth to achieve it. |

Sue, your words so touched my broken heart and brought me to tears. It does indeed seem that our world has gone crazy and I think we all feel helpless to stop it and make it better. There are days we should just crawl under a rock and hide. Beautiful picture that goes so well with your poem. Hugs, Marti Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. |

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Sue, I too wish I could have lived in an earlier generation sometimes so I could live the world when it was much more peaceful, sweet friend, history does have a great share of problems but there is no excuse in repeating them when I wish we could all be working to learn from our mistakes and establish love for all our children! (big hugggssssss) My prayers and angel hugs go out to all the Bali victims, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Sue - a poem that cry out for reason - I hope many hear it especially the leaders of the US who plan to kill in Iraq. Thanks for a lovely poignant poem - Paul |
