Seeing her, walking in the sunlight,
moves that stop time on main street USA.
as hips sway to the tune of romance
pending.

Watching, perplexed at myself, wanting to
know where I had seen her.  Elaine,
Elizabeth, E something?  Oh my, this may
not be my lucky day....

How do you get the attention of a woman
who wants nothing more than NO attention
at all?  Or at least that is what they say?

Concrete sidewalk curling up behind her,
trying to glimpse those legs just one time.
The screech of tires, hiss of air brakes as
traffic stops....the sun even stopped moving.
So....how does a mere mortal have even
the remote probability of scoring a hit?

What if....I wrote her a poem....what
might it say...  Might this be the way
to a queen’s heart?  So....I decided to
write...

Love has found me today
Even as love walks on into the morn.
Having felt the breeze flow through her
locks....not knowing that was my sigh.

Love has never been as beautiful, as tender
to my eyes, as soft to the unfelt touch or
the linger of a passionate kiss...

I drink from a cup, a toast to God..
Thanking him for the birth of one most
treasured, one most desirable..

Love has found me, found me today,
and my heart carries this love
of you...

Barry, this is so beautiful and loving. I'm sure that your wife loves the romantic side of you, dear man, and all the feelings and thoughts that go with it.

"Concrete sidewalk curling up behind her,"

Loved the above line, all of it is written from a smitten kitten, er beary, I mean.
