Black beans 'N Rice
Salsa 'N Chips
Cornbread 'N BUTTER.
Too much of this good life
just goes to my hips.

So this year,
after feeding my teenager,
I'm sending those leftovers
to someone in Ethiopia,
someone with hungry lips.

What are you doing
with yours?

Uh, Kacy?

You have a teenager that actually leaves food in the cupboard?

A rarity!

Whoa, this made me hungry! Will be a guest, so won't have any. But, it wouldn't hurt to volunteer at a food line, serving those in need.

I have been a scrooge this year. I simply cannot do Christmas...
~yet~ maybe just go buy a 1/2 dozen or so of thick gloves and pass them out to the needy...in place of leftovers....

Happy holidays, Hugs Pat

Wranx, yes, especially the stuff she doesn't really like.
Pat, good idea, serving food and warm smiles. :

Great message! Great write! My daughters and I each donate bags of groceries to food banks several times a year. When those who are in a position to give from the over-flow of their cups to help those whose cups are empty, God smiles.

~ warm, happy holiday hugs to you!

Thanks EA! I've been at both ends of the line. I prefer the giving end, but was indeed grateful when receiving.

(sigh) It always depends on the time of year! Around Christmas, I offer many canned foods to the citizens at the Denver Rescue Mission, and other times of the year I do that grocery bag drive Linda does and sometimes make efforts for saving the lives of hungry Colombians as they are in a state of chaos with the violence down there in the drug raids. (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, this is wonderful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Raph, thanks. Yes, and this year many of the food banks are suffering from shortages.

Noah, as always, you are truly a Misteltoe ANGEL.

A great idea, Kacy...  In the past...  I have worked at the Gospel Mission, downtown where they serve food to the homeless... but I don't think I have the energy this year.
~ thanks for giving

Shadows, thank you!

LYRA! So great to see your name here tonight. Peaceful hugs to you. You've already done your share, probably 10x over.
Just save your strength for that unkind battlefield you face daily.
