I lay upon the night in shadow’s play contented As I yearn I learn the founding of what was resented Assembled in my heart this basket full of wishes Clear in what I have to share these thoughtful swishes To fail in love I always thought a sign of weakness As I stumble, and I fall, a finer thrill in every meekness A richer dish, a deeper fair, emerges every heartache Clean and crisp as newborn snow in every savored partake I lay upon these sheets so cool, in reverence I think of you And see in dreams our love in ways that I had never known to do A smile ignites at every contact point as I move in your light Close and warm in play that graces every day and into every night To be the arms you feel surround you as you journey through And as I find creatively to pamper thoroughly and care for you A free form flight, uncharted and undressed of all false hopes Cherished in the times I see you shine and every time your spirit copes To fall so deeply into love that outside becomes inside warm And lay beside you every night in listen of each passing storm Intimate these thoughts that sparkle in my mind, receiving all you feel Comfort in the twilight that we share and by our hearts to seal I lay upon this longing that transports me to your arms A fondle of each tender place to furnish every fantasy in vivid charms To hear you with my heart, and listen deeply to your cares Cheerily to gather gifts of endless wishes that this basket bears Copyright Kkh 12/12/02 |
