Lamentations, part 3

She read the card and looked up at his face.
He paid the bill as he left of the place.

~~
Life is giving
With love never ending
Always a new beginning
~~the other side~~
Psalm 13
5

After she had read the card in her hand
She looked out the window to see the man
There was no one to see no one in sight
He had slipped off silent into the night.

She ate all her breakfast all that was brought
Amazed that she was hungrier than she thought
Troubles had consumed her eating forgot,
The cafe was filling for the new day
So it was time for her to be on her way.

The waitress now so busy smiled her way,
The night had warmed all ice had gone away,
The warmth of the night were the thoughts of him
Silently helping her new beginning,
Although all the past had come to an end,
She had plenty of her love for giving.

She reread the card, looking hard

~~the other side~~
Psalm 13
5

The words on one side were gone,
How was this mystery done,
Gone the words and what was worse
Didn’t recognize the verse.

Psalm 13
5: But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

I had thought to leave the verse off till the next part,
but decided it would be better to add it this time
since many of you might not have a Bible handy

And, I swear to you, that IS how it IS.

This is wonderful. You made me get teary eyed.... sighing here for your reality and ability to transfer it to us.....  Enjoyed tremendously.....

Warmest regards, Pat

Thanks. You are right, some of us lack that book, and are not familiar with most of these passages.

I'm going to print them all and put them together...and read over and over, if you don't mind.
