year in a rock

If he removes the golf club
to momentarily remove the heavy burden
that his shopping cart mobile home inflicts
and reinvents the term “window shopping”
I will not expose my surprise
that it didn’t happen sooner

empathy is a character that I comfort
with a 70/30 blend that favors
the costlier addition of the duo

need a more qualified set of
headphones
to maximize all the cymbals and whatnot
that I trigger
they’ve digitally remastered
my mindbox, not the original content
but the alleviated version
how they all thought I should be
in hindsight
a kick to the hindquarters
should get them off my couch
in time for the bonus tracks

may your cell phone die
and the birds in your tree
fly far away

Sounds like a typical day in the studio, trying to please "the bottom feeders"... Your last stanza sticks with me and leaves me smirking.
