Fool throttled in bacchanalia
tis seldom that Wells'd fail ya
since as booze headed south
prys open his mouth
while at it with tales he'll regale ya

Jocular, half crocked, near loaded
inhibitions unlocked he'd be goaded
and so hold a clinic
his doctorate cynic
while the rest of the world he demoted

With ease the beers flow down his gullet
as they fattened they lightened his wallet
in the mornings found poor
of what he worked for
if he'd reveled he could not recall it
..
.
Oh those mornings after.
Dedicated to that individual of academia who asked
last night from a neighboring stool if I wrote
limericks and the realization that I hadn't.

Fine limericks he penned by the still
On napkins he toiled with his quill
He left them stacked there
For the next sot to share
Here's hoping their beer doesn't spill...

HAHA. The morning after is never funny though, no matter how well you pen it.

I have no pity for those who self-inflict   Very nicely done Richard.  Loved Nan's response.
