Beware the Door The inquisition-warning shout Octopus of arms swarm out Drawn with a gravities pull Each binding of the blind folds wool. And the suckers gesticulate Hanging on each simmering fate Laying bait in tempting sign To bite upon mirages line Standing on a wallows hallow Waiting for the time to swallow. Mouthing on infinities bend Eating on its very end And here we face the hydras head To freeze us with a cold of dread To stop the threads of woven rhyme To hold the web of sands of time So do not heed this false of goal It plans to eat your very soul |

(giggles) I would rather use dry writing as bait for this "hydra" then to sacrifice the beauty of rhyme! LOL! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, poetry is the beauty of language, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." Shakira [This message has been edited by Mistletoe Angel (12-10-2002 08:17 AM).] |

Seymour darling heart, you are a writer extraordinaire and this is another superb flow of your art. A candle’s flame flies your soul’s why Over the mountains up to the sky There in the clouds the angels sigh Collecting poems written by Sy Each poet’s word an angel’s breathes The soft words falling like autumn’s leaves To each question they say the same The answer’s held in this poet’s name A gift from you of words so wise Then wrapped in wonder and served in sighs The flickering of your soul’s clear light Takes it far into the dark of night I would listen to their refrain To learn the meaning held in your name This is exquisite writing and I love it utterly utterly utterly, Love and warm stuff As always Mushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

I read a lot into this one Sy, perhaps a different take than your intent. Subtle political/religious conflict imagery emerged. |

I too see a swipe at political/religious impropriety, but realize that lately you've been penning quite a bit about our ephemeral nature. Don't expect a clarification just want you to know I was here and appreciate. |

Look at the word play..the personification...the analogies, metaphors and the symbolisms played to poetic perfection Each binding of the blind folds wool. love that lines wit, wisdom and clever intend. Your rhymes rock...and it rolls me *ww* |

Perhaps it's my own bent that leads me to interpret it this way but wariness of ideals is what I took from this perfectly penned poem. If so, I'm very much in agreement, if not well it was enjoyed immensely regardless of silly misinterpretations on my part raph OOps looks like midnite already had this thought.
