He had a Runnin' W brand, Burned on his woolly flank. Blunted horns, a brindle hide, A name for being rank. Drawn four times this season, I had yet to make a ride. I think that I would turn him out, If it wasn't for my pride. My pride cost me a marriage, And a lot of "might have beens". I'd lose my nose to spite my face, I haven't any sense. Forty-five is too blamed old, To follow rodeo... But what's a fellow gonna do? It's the only life I know. So I will drop my riggin', Just behind his hairy hump. Pull my rope, and take my wrap, And spur him every jump. Yank my wrap, and take a bow- When I hear that buzzer go- And drive that beat-up truck of mine To another rodeo. |

That's a pretty rough way to travel now John. Stay away from those bucking 18 wheelers, cowboy. |
