A Childs Christmas Prayer By Paul Wilson There was an old man Saint Nick was his name With a bunch of raindeer he ran Christmas was his game All around the world He would fly with sleigh and raindeer Bringing toys to each boy and girl On Christmas Eve year after year Cookies and milk for Saint Nick Left on table by the tree Surly these treats will do the trick A special gift from Saint Nick to me Time to close your eyes little one Sleep sweet and dream of toys and things This magic night of dreams just begun Saying prayers of thanks for what Saint Nick brings A noise is heard down the hall Slipping out of bed to see what could it be There by the tree standing tall Jolly old Saint Nick putting presents under tree Not a sound did I make Slipping back into bed Drifting off to dream till I awake This prayer before falling to sleep I said Saint Nick one present please keep For those that don’t have any Please don’t let them weep Presents from you I have many " To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you " [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (12-11-2002 01:35 AM).] |

Oh Paul, this brought a ear to my eye because it is soooooo beautiful and like my nae here I wish everyday could be like Christmas, for life should be about giving love and sharing love! Paul, I don't know how I missed this yesterday. I always look for your excellent poetry. (unless it got moved down the page before I got back on here last night) Anyway, I love to read your poems, because I can tell that they come from your heart and have a gentle and compassionate feel to them.
