She said...
"Are you in love with me,
or in love with love?"
But I didn't understand
these simple words
until the day I left
with the realization
it was never her I wanted,
it was the escape

Interesting thought -- to be in love with Love...  Where DOES that leave the "loved one"...?

yes, so she was the lucky recipeint of your
escape, there are a lot worse crosses to bear....you served eachother well for the sweet moment.....

Ah a good question... to be inlove with the initial rush of being in love and going from one to another "lover" is so different than finding the one you love... one you are willing to invest enough time and heart in that you would have them there for all the tomorrows..

enjoyed the write...

Truth be told I did love her at the time,
emensely.  This was written for a period long after we'd split up. I got back together with her only to realize it wasn't her I was in love with but that feeling of comfort.

Thanks Mark, not sure where it left her I'm sure she's happily in love somewhere out there wherevere she is

Inked we did serve eachother well, and yet there's guilt for any pain I may have caused

Thanks Ethel that's usually my intent

Cpat that's a fear of mine, I am a romantic at heart but when looking at how little time or heart we sometimes devote to ourselves I wonder if we are capable to do this for someone else, especailly for all tomorrows..

What you call escape I call release.  If you'r together and smiling, even for a little while its all good.

"Are you in love with me,
or in love with love?"

that's a good question. Leaves one to ponder much, does it not.

wonderful bello.
