You know
you are single

when,

you have to buy
your own signature
french perfume,

and then,

spritz it in the air,

to know,

you're still alive!

Pat, this is so cute. I don't know if you meant it to be, or not....
You are really putting your thoughts and feelings down very well, and I'm certainly enjoying reading them. I find myself looking for what you've posted next. Thank you for sharing your heart, friend....

Ethel,

Without my sense of humor, gee, don't think I'd make it through some days....but, this does have a serious side as well and I like mixing those two senses in poetic form!

Glad you liked.

Linda,

I burst out laughing at your response, and that you relate. Thank you for letting me know this hit home.

It is all in the knowing, and I am terribly pleased you ~know~ and ~fully~ understand. Smiling here....again, at your response and am happy this makes sense to someone else.

Hugs, Pat

Gosh,  but this is a very good way of telling
of a way of "single life"....  Fortunately,
(I think)  *Yeah*  ...  an experience I have
not felt in a few decades or so....Does
going to Sea on patrol,  putting aftershave
on  for Sunday around the guys count?  NOOOO,
not looking for guys.....sheeeesh...

(sigh) Oh Patricia, I couldn't decide if this was more optimistic or sad, it was optimistic and gave me a smile knowing you were still alive but sad imagining you spraying the perfume and smelling it and missing love! (big hugggssssss) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, you are amazing, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Patricia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Elizabeth,

Thanks for responding. Glad for your delightfully true.

Barry,

sheeesh...with your poetry no doubt you've men and women swooning...
single or attached...and, you'd need no frangrance for one to know you...
just read you...Mmmmmmm.

Noah,

The sad part is ~I~ have buy my own perfume, (cept. for BD and Mother's D,.gift from children, which keeps me pretty well supplied.)  There is a little joke about my perfume. Just recently I've moved to be closer to daughter and son, but prior it had been many years,& states and/or 100's of miles apart. I only wear one kind of french perfume, ever...since they were little and one time my daughter smelled the fragrance in a dept. store, (though out-of-state from me), hunted down the source(woman) to be sure I wasn't somehow magically there...she told the woman, you smell just like my mom...who lives far away, and the lady gave her a hug...smiles....

anyway, it is Christmas and I've run out and that sorta led to this poem, but I think every single woman can relate. Spritzing in air to know I am still alive was from fond memories, etc. etc....Also, maybe I am just in love with me! Ha! Tsk! Thanks for input.

Amusemi, Thanks, glad you relate.

Aenimal, Yes...but, kinda lightweight.
Thanks.... Happy Holidays, All, Pat
