You make no sense You make me bitter and un-content You threw away my freedom and bought me hate You have made life a distant fate I wish on all the power in my mind That you could fall and leave me behind You drag me down like a curtain drawn Swept away my love of life And made me this wreck of strife The habit kicked in its face But still you won’t give up Shut up and take it That I hate you in my life And I want nothing more Than to escape this constant battle You’re winning in my head But I will beat you one day Nothing can break me But you do try hard And when I finally leave You won’t know the way to carry on And you will follow So I will leave you a system of escape But don’t follow Find your own fate. Good thoughts in this poem. Some do live vicariously and it is important to take back our power. Warm regards, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |
