I had lost part of me
being married to a very dominant personality,
and being one myself
I thought I would not lose touch.
I am one who tries to see both sides,
one who tries to please
sometimes that is impossible
if you want to really be yourself.
I was getting lost.

Now I have set free the ball from the chain.
I am remembering how I enjoyed life.
An optimist by heart
Setting free my inhibitions
knowing I can dance in celebration

I can laugh
I am recovering , rediscovering
I can still believe in Santa Claus
yet , know I can survive without him.

Winning never gets old
losing sometimes makes you stronger
my eyes are open now,
I’m holding on with both hands.

Not wanting to lose myself again...

But using the experience

In the Midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.

Bravo, Salty...
I believe that's what we're supposed to do...learn from our mistakes. I'm glad to hear that you're "being yourself" again. I'm sad to say, that I didn't have that kind of strength until my dominant husband passed away. Then, my Love came into my life and he encourages me to just be "ME". It sure does feel good, too......

Thank you gg.....I wonder what it is that takes us so long ?  Well at least I am alive again.   Storing the memories in hopes that I never forget, but not dwelling on them.

Doesn't it feel good to be set free, and I am happy that you did that for yourself.
Thank you for sharing this with me.

Lady_D.

I hope it does help someone. I hope someone finds their strength earlier than I did.
Your words were very kind..Thank you

Salty,  the wonder of it is that through
every experience...no matter whether is
is good or not....we learn....Usually it
is the "we forget" that gets us in deep
Kimchi again....(another word for hot
water)

Good on ya,  and don't look back!!

Like they say, Salty, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I'm happy for you

p.s. Don't let Toerag know you believe in Santa now or you'll see some fat guy in a red suit with a three day stubble and dirty socks showing up at your door!

Thank you dear sister....I would not have made it without your support.

Earth Angel

You are very kind ....Keep holding that light up for me.  Kind of like a poetic
version of Motel 6

Magnus

You are absolutely right.  I hope I never forget it completley because I don't want to have to visit there again. Kimchi huh?
I'll have to remember that one. *S*
Thank you for stopping in .

Balladeer
Not a nice place to visit and sure don't want to live there.....taking this experience and using it for a better version of living .
Toerag Santa..what a visual ...dirty socks and all.

Paul

Salty...Balladeer was talking about himself....Yassee, if you act like you have this "thing" for Toerag, he'll get jealous, put on a Santa suit, and try to get you to Kiss Santa Claus, he'll tempt you with Ho Ho Ho's and cheap gifts...

It's that way of learning something that you makes you never want to forget. The most successful teacher. Thank you for reading.

Toerag
I am sure going to have to be careful with all these Santa's running around. I won't know who's who.  I will be checking for dirty socks and scargly beards though.

Of course there will be no problem about giving me gifts...I'll accept those just fine. NOT CHEAP ONES EITHER!!!!
