In shades of blue I watch you go away You walk so slow I know you want to stay, And yet we know that you or I must go. In shades of gray I sit inside my home With out exit or need to be or roam, The dim twilight turning to dark of night. In shades of black I will not shed the tears For this is real not make believe false fears, I know it well for long in shades I dwell. You will soon find a place that shines with light, All gone your thoughts of this shading from sight. You’ll be happy joyous and then be free. Through my so few colors of life of shade I’ll remember the light that brief once stayed. Gloom |

Simply put, this is quite touching and leaves enough unsaid for my imagination to use personal circumstances, which I usually do anyway, with all poems I read. Thanks for sharing this. Warm regards, Pat ![]() ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

Through my so few colors of life of shade I’ll remember the light that brief once stayed. I do believe this is very true. Sometimes I am behind your eyes looking out and seeing only the shades of darkness. M |
