Is one immortal to recollect
'sleep' on an operation table?
human survival after biological death
a wishful fable

society observes the process
some are resusitated after one life cycle
others come powerfully close to clinical ends
'near to end' experiences are so much alike
about a final demise
life has its pillars.

Bodies seen..from above, at a distance
being in the near environment
for instance....
mortals would become accustomed to odd conditions...
accustomed to the 'new' nature
glimpses of past relatives appear.

A warm spirit approaches
mortals are prompted to evaluate the lives
playbacks of life rush by
yet they return to complete their cycle
the hereafter will wait another day.....

I get the the sense, that you're a bit of a theologian, as am I.

This was a thinker for me, an intellectual peice, and little lacking in emotion, considering the subject matter.  Did you mean for it to sound this...cerebral?

Martin, my late husband had a "near death experience", years
before he actually passed away. He was the type person who
would have never said it happened, if it had not truly happened
that way. I totally believe what he said about it. Have you
had one, or know someone personally who did? Just wondering.

I like it.  Sometimes, with less emotion, the subject can be more clearly seen.
