He kissed me with lips of rosary
that purified those fears
held secret and captive that
I would not
I could not
set free

He touched me with a burning finger
writing the future as he saw fit
across my beading flesh
be damned if I was not his
after his will
was carved into my soul

He drips of power and compassion
and the fear of God grips me
Help me, Father, for I am having impure thoughts.
Help me, cause I'm about to sin,
and worship him
for the rest of my existence

He rips down the walls of reason
the only thing that has kept me sane
with the wrath of pocession.
All Hell's soldiers shudder and run.
I am left shivering,
huddled in a quivering ball of wreckage.

He sifts through my mind,
crushing the largest parts of me
under a mighty fist of velvet lace.
Soft and sweet,
holding me still
as he worsens the curse.

He chides me like an innocent.
A ruler who hates his crown,
Bringing me back from Armageddon
to start over
Clean up the mess
one of us made.

He swims in my babbling,
Inhaling and filtering out
his life sustaining breathe
in the millisecond pauses
in between each word.
I live between the words

He sings in magnificent glory
and I am reduced to hypnosis
melting, bending, liquifying
beneath the power of his heart
I am lost.
I am found.

One of those poems where as I read each verse, it became my favorite part.  Perfect title.

Um, this is scarey.  Well-written & emotion tugging.  Brrrr!

A little chilling, but captivating... very well-written poem.

Thanks for sharing your work.

That was scary. I mean serously. I am not a fan of religious poems, but that gave me the chills.
