The winds shift
and I catch the scent
of you
stalking within
the tall grass
of subconsciousness
These days
I'm not as agile
as I used to be
A lame and weary
target for your
infected thoughts
I bolt and escape
though,
never unscathed
You seldom fail
to tear a piece from me
I grow weary
of these hunts
And sometimes
I am enclined
to let these
thoughts
devour me

(big hugggsssssss) Sometimes the best way is to not run but try and sympathize with that which is hunting you and hope to get on its good side if it truly is a hunter! (sigh) What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, I send angel hugs of comfort your way, we all love youn so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Raphael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Raph:  VERY cool metaphors here!  I appreciate the unique analogies, and hey -- at least you bolt!

I too enjoyed the metaphors and thought you could read this two ways, and when I got to thinking it was the hairy type of wolf, I remember the crocodile hunter saying to "puff yourself up and look huge", stand tall, still and firm, and all I could think of was - run for the hills, and funny enough that applies to both ways I read this LOL, enjoyed!

Noah thank you sometimes I won my battles with my psyche, sometimes it gets the jump on me. In time i hope..

Mark I sometimes bolt, it's something i've learned to do over time, but sometimes i fear the damage is already too great to reverse

Mysteria glad you liked it. I love the crocodile hunter, he's such a child and so innocent.

I try Midnite I try..

Ethel thank you for always supporting me its much appreciated

Enjoyed the read ... it's seldom, a good time, being stalked or hunted
