In impermanence lies nature's beauty, In its momentary glimpse of perfection A spider web shining with drops of dew, The evening star's fleeting reflection. The changing colours of autumn, The divine transience in a cloud A once in a lifetime stellar display, Waves erasing words not said aloud... Life too, peaks and ebbs just like the tide, Some waves are pulled back much too fast And the value of life is in, you will find The knowledge that it will not last So we build our families and empires, To create something larger than self Never forgetting that use by date Placed on everything upon the shelf And after receiving the honour of sharing The true essence of life here on earth, We pray for the strength to continue Through our own cycle of death and birth. |

I think the last two lines certainly summed this poem up to perfection. I truly enjoyed this piece and saved it for another day. |

"A spider web shining with drops of dew, The evening star's fleeting reflection." So true, these are fleeting moments to enjoy and remember during our short stay. |
