Red the Cat

I have this  cat
who feigns deep love;
he purrs quite sweet
like coo of dove.

He snuggles close
head-butts my chin,
tucks his head
in elbow’s bend.

And then the truth
becomes quite clear,
the reason’s plain
why I’m so dear.

He raises nose
up to my mouth,
I push away,
he starts to pout.

It seems his attraction’s
truly frank,
one could risk
entire bank.

It’s bacon’s scent
upon my lips,
that causes love’s
saliva drips.

Foiled, he is,
succeeding caper,
he sits in pose
of feline’s taper.

Back to me
nose to the door,
relinquishing
he’ll get no more.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Arent cats great, when they want to be, thats exactly how it is they do things when they want not when you want them too. Independent lil things they are. The affection they give when they decide to is a lovely thing very nice write
