a night read of you,
while through my
windowpane
the light ballet
moves over lake's thin skin;
I watch as
glitter ripples
tiptoe shore
to the rhythm
of winter's
mint-lick exhale

flesh draws tight
against the cold,
I bed the night
quilting your voice
around and through
a water dance
on warm words

'tis only the scent
of you
I've yet to know;
so I close my eyes
imagining
and
waiting
to inhale~~

indeed sounds as if soul would be lucky to have one think of them like this...

I enjoyed the read and the thoughts, this cold morning.

Lovely, lovely imaging and imagining! Some deliciously vivid lines.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Sandpiper,

This is so beautiful. I love it!

Especially liked this line:

...."of winter's mint-lick exhale"...

This is so well written it is nice to go back and re-read...it doesn't lose anything, but, rather I find more....
and more....I adore...am printing if ok with you.

Warm regards, Pat
