Hope By Paul Wilson For Lyra These roads you have traveled long and far Have brought you to where you are Hope has always been your guiding star You’ve shared so much over the years A thousand roads and ten thousand tears Hope has helped conquer your fears Together your love remains strong Your time spent apart always too long Hope has become your love song Each day a treasure you will forever keep A moment in time to comfort you while you sleep Hope will dry your tears when you weep Sharing all your plans and dreams How many times they got lost it seems Hope lighting your way like moon beams Starting over so many times it seems Making new plans and dreams Hope will guide you across life’s streams Hope will walk with you down memory’s lane Hope will be near to ease your pain Hope and friends come together in your refrain /pip/Forum3/HTML/002153.html [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (12-06-2002 06:47 AM).] |

Hope is tomorrow's smile Hope is today's prayer Hope made yesterday a better day HOpe keeps the heart open Hope is a need, it is a gift, it is something to share, it is what the spirit sips in honey drips from the mind Sometimes it seems all we have, Sometimes we are overwhelmed by its glory Hope becomes a prayer, that is sometimes honored and becomes reality Hope is a dream that sometimes doesn't come true, but it keeps the eyes smiling in the meantime, making loved ones smile with you. And that is the bottom line, that hope give a bit of quality to our lives and makes the stuggle less less negative. Hope is contageous, it is a candle from which other light thier own wicks of promise. Thank you, Paul, for this beautiful poem. My prayers continue to for Lyras future days. May they be filled with love and friendship and HOPE Love to you, Lyra. Liz |

And with all the love and prayers I can muster I will light a candle of hope for Lyra and I hope that others will join me? Paul, this is wonderful of you to re-post as Liz knows and said, hope and love are the most wonderfully contageous and healing things there are, so let's get this show on the road. Paul, I think about my dear friend Lyra, everyday. And, hope and pray that she will get better. I also hold onto the faith for her, that there will be a miracle for her and she will go to the doctor one day and maybe her cancer will be gone. Some people seem to think I am crazy for thinking this way, but I do believe there are miracles that can happen. Lyra is one of my best friends here, and has always been such an inspiration to me. Thank you so much for reposting this great poem of love for our dear sweet Lyra. Without "hope", we would be lost. My prayers are right there, joining everyone else for our dear friend. Sometimes life seems to fall apart a little at a time, and we want to fold up our dreams and put them away. Then from somewhere inside, there comes a song of courage and we know we can never give up.   (tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Paul, I too join you in your prayers, sweet friend, Lyra is a very special friend to all of us and I know that because I talk with her on the phone and she is by far one of the most compassionate and loving friends I have ever had and is so deserving of warmth and comfort and joy! (big hugggssssss) I wish wholeheartedly I could attend the upcoming poetry meet, though my schedule may have conflict with it, but know that all of our angel hugs are going out to her! I have never met Lyra either, she is known to all of us here at PIP as Madame Chipmunk and has been fighting cancer the past few months and we all pray that she gets well.
