ships of dreams borne on a westerly tide this small ship sails pelted by storms rains and assaulted by the raging sea onward still she sails westward ever westward course fixed and steady days to nights weeks to months sailing on westward ever westward at times lost in turbulence on the verge of a maelstrom all seems lost till calm seas at last stretch once more westward ever westward those aboard remain steadfast though tossed by the wind and rain vigilant in their duties valiant in their courage watching for their destiny westward ever westward they mend the sails rent by the storms and repair hulls breached by debris and each night rest dreaming till morning wakes their world westward ever westward no port in sight beyond the horizon where clouds roil and glow another storm is brewing westward ever westward how like this little ship are we with sights set upon dreams and goals seemingly unattainable yet we struggle against a storm of adversities and trials break through to clear skies and calm seas before us westward ever westward and how like her sailors are we holding true through our storms vigilant in our duties valiant in our courage watching for our dreams westward ever westward fantasy ships sail unnumbered upon seas of tranquil dreams vessels with precious cargo westward ever westward winds of time blow to alter courses rains of tears descend emotions rise and fall like waves upon the sea westward ever westward these seas of dreams we embark upon in our illusionary ships to journey on and on westward ever westward but time is seems has weigh-layed our plans through trial and tribulation to keep up from our purpose from our course fixed and steady westward ever westward it weighs upon us every one passes unrrelenting to leave us dashed upon the rocks dreams fading toward the horizon this journey froth with squalls that abandons us to the mercy of the sea upon our ships debris westward ever westward till rescued by some other one whose dreams are still alive we in our aging stead abandon our own dreams to bolster those of our rescuer younger and stronger than we whose ship has whethered fare westward ever westward Enotneicna SLR 1-5-02 Words are my medicine. |
